The summer of 1996 Cindy watched for the first time Combined Driving at The Festival of Champions at the USET in Gladstone, NJ. She immediately made a connection with the sport ,but still had no idea that 2 years from that date, she and her son Matthew would be driving thier Morgan, Nick on that very spot. Matthew won the 1998 Single Horse Junior Trials at Gladstone and competed with his mom for 2 years with the handy little gelding.
In 2000 Cindy won the Mighty Mini Challenge with Sammy... taking 1st place at Lord Stirling CDE and Garden State CDE. Sammy successfully competed with different drivers for 3 years... 16 hands worth of heart in a 36" tall body.
A dream came true in 2001 when Steve encouraged Cindy to find a pair of Friesians. Her friend, Amie, found 2 four year old stallions, Sieme and Rein, in Holland and soon they were in the states.
Sieme and Rein competed in pleasures shows and CDE's as a single horse for 2 years , successfully drove tandem, and were part of a 4-in-hand. Many thanks to Wiebe Dragstra for all his help putting this team together .
Sieme and Rein competed as a pair and recieved the 2005 Garden State Pleasure Show Multiples Championship in October at the Horse Park of New Jersey.
